SHIPPING POLICY FOR BLOOMS AND BALLOONS

1. INTRODUCTION

At Blooms and Balloons, we want to ensure your flowers and balloons arrive fresh, beautiful, and on time. This Shipping Policy explains how we deliver our products to you and what you can expect when you place an order with us.

Please read this policy carefully before placing your order. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms outlined in this Shipping Policy.

 

2. DELIVERY AREA

We currently deliver within the Vaal Triangle are in the Gauteng Province

If you are located outside our delivery area, you may be able to collect your order from our studio. Please see Section 8 for more information on self-collection.

 

3. DELIVERY COSTS

Our delivery fees are as follows:

Local delivery: R[Insert Amount] per delivery within our designated delivery area -2

Self-collection from our studio: No charge

Free delivery: We offer free delivery on orders over R[Insert Amount]. Please check our website for current promotions.

Delivery costs are calculated based on several factors, including your delivery address (main centre or regional), the size and weight of your order, the value of the order, and the delivery method selected (standard or express) and the distance.

 

4. DELIVERY TIMEFRAMES

4.1 Processing Time

All our balloon designs and flower arrangements are made to order. Please allow 2 to 3 business days for us to process and prepare your order before dispatch.

Orders placed before 12h00 may be processed the same day, subject to our production schedule.

4.2 Delivery Timeframes

Once your order is ready, delivery times are as follows:

Standard Delivery: 2 to 5 business days

Express Delivery: 1 to 3 business days

Same-Day Delivery: Available for orders placed before our cut-off time, subject to product availability and delivery location. Please contact us to confirm availability.

Please note that these are estimated timeframes and not guaranteed. We will do our best to ensure your order arrives on time for your special occasion.

 

5. IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT BALLOON DELIVERIES

5.1 Helium and Float Times

Helium-filled latex balloons typically last between 8 to 12 hours. We add a special treatment called “Stay Afloat” to our helium-filled latex balloons, which increases float time by approximately 25%.

MicroFoil balloons can last for weeks and can be topped up with helium if needed.

Bubble balloons can last for approximately one week but cannot be topped up.

5.2 Temperature Sensitivity

Balloons look their best at room temperature. Please keep them warm on cool days and cool on warm days, as extreme temperatures can affect float time and appearance.

5.3 Delivery to Specific Locations

Residential Deliveries: Balloons must be accepted in person and will not be left at the entrance unattended. Our driver will contact the recipient to arrange a suitable delivery time.

Business Deliveries: If the recipient is unavailable when we arrive, the balloons may be left at the business reception or front desk.

Hospital Deliveries: We will contact the hospital prior to delivery to ensure balloons are permitted and that the patient is still admitted.

Hotel Deliveries: Deliveries to hotel guests are made in care of the front desk or concierge. The customer is responsible for ensuring the hotel completes the delivery.

School Deliveries: Not all schools permit balloon deliveries. Where permitted, deliveries are made to the main office, and the school will contact the student.

5.4 Anonymous Deliveries

We are unable to provide anonymous delivery service. If a signature is not provided on the greeting card accompanying an order, we may reveal the name of the sender to the recipient if requested.

 

6. IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT FLOWER DELIVERIES

Fresh flowers are perishable items that require special handling. Please ensure someone is available at the delivery address to accept the flowers, as they cannot be left in direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.

If no one is available to accept delivery, the flowers may be returned to us. As perishable items, we cannot guarantee their condition for redelivery.

 

7. ORDER CUT-OFF TIMES

To ensure timely processing and delivery, please note our cut-off times:

Orders placed before 12h00 on a business day will be processed for dispatch the same day, subject to our production schedule.

Orders placed after this time will be processed the next business day.

If you need a next-day delivery service and have missed the cut-off time, please contact us directly, and we will see if it’s possible to accommodate your request.

 

8. SELF-COLLECTION

You are welcome to collect your order from our studio at no additional cost.

Collection Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

Please wait for our confirmation that your order is ready before coming to collect.

 

9. TRACKING YOUR ORDER

Some deliveries are sent using courier services that provide tracking information. Once your order is dispatched, you will receive an email or SMS with your tracking number and instructions on how to track your parcel.

 

10. DELIVERY EXCLUSIONS

We may be unable to deliver to certain areas due to logistical constraints or safety concerns. Please check with us if you are unsure whether your address falls within our delivery area.

If you live outside our delivery area, please consider self-collection or contact us to discuss alternative arrangements.

 

11. DELIVERY FAILURES AND ISSUES

11.1 Incorrect Address

Please ensure you provide the correct delivery address at checkout. If you provide an incorrect address, we may not be able to refund or replace your order. If the courier returns the items to us, we will contact you to arrange redelivery at an additional cost.

11.2 Failed Delivery Attempts

If the courier attempts delivery but no one is available to accept the order:

  • For balloons: The driver will contact the recipient to arrange a new delivery time. we cannot however guarantee the condition of the helium balloons.

  • For flowers: The items may be returned to us. As perishable items, we cannot guarantee their condition for redelivery

11.3 Delivery Complaints

We will take prompt action to address delivery issues that are reported no later than 3 days after the scheduled delivery date. After this deadline, no replacements, refunds, or credits will be issued.

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Photographs (where applicable)

 

12. RISK AND OWNERSHIP

Risk of loss or damage to products passes to you (or your recipient) upon delivery. Ownership of the products passes to you once we have received full payment for the order.

 

13. INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY

We currently only deliver within the Vaal Triangle, gauteng Province. We do not offer full national delivery at this time.
